In October 2002 our channel markers were replaced. The new ones are made of PVC pipe and are left in the lake all year. The old square wooden markers, shown in the picture below beside the new type, were traditionally taken out each fall and put back each spring.

Knowing how to navigate around these markers could save you some costly boat repairs and keep you and your friends safe.

When you navigate, be sure to steer South or West of a red marker and North or East of  a black one.

At night when it's hard to tell the color, just remember that the red marker has the stripe. The black one doesn't.
